Visiting Petra in Latin
The summer course organized by the IICS at the University of Jordan in Amman was successfully concluded: the academic and political authorities of the country wanted to pay homage to the initiative by participating in the closing ceremony of the course.
Among others, the former Jordanian Prime Minister Awn Al-Khasawneh and the current Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzah were thrilled to have hosted, thanks to the IISC, the first Latin course held in Latin throughout the Arab world .

These students, just three weeks after having attended the first lesson on the Latin alphabet, were able to prepare themselves a short Latin text to illustrate to their teachers the history of Petra.
