Courses concluded

A unique cultural experience in the heart of Rome and at the origins of Roman culture, in direct contact with the language. The course, with the Patronage of the Municipality of Rome, is organized in three progressive levels, from the Basic level to the Advanced one; students may attend the whole course or just a part of it. Students will fastly learn Latin grammar and vocabulary, studying thousands of words in order to reach fluency in reading original Latin texts.

Lingua Ecclesiae is the first intensive summer Latin course specifically designed for ecclesiastics.
Students will be hosted at the Casa per ferie Mater Mundi, run by the Augustinian Sisters of Divine Love. Pedagogical activities are accompanied by the daily celebration of the Liturgy.
To favor the students’ rapid and solid learning, all courses are conducted directly in Latin, just like all other daily activities: Latin is the only language of communication within the residence throughout the entire month of stay.

The IISC, with the Patronage of the Municipality of Rome, offers the first living Latin summer course (2021 June, 7-18; two weeks), dedicated to High School students. The course will deal with the most important features of Latin grammar and teachers will lead students in learning Latin vocabulary and words. The aim of course is to give students the ability in translating a Latin text in a short time and without the dictionary.

The IISC, with the Patronage of the Municipality of Rome, organizes for the period 7-18 June 2021 (two weeks) the first summer course in “living” Classic Greek designed specifically to meet the needs of a high school student. The course covers all the main topics of Greek grammar in addition to a large number of words.
The aim of the course is to provide students with the skills to translate a Greek text in a short time and without using vocabulary.

Il corso, erogato con il Patrocinio del Comune di Roma, si struttura su tre moduli progressivi, dal Base all’Avanzato; è possibile frequentare tutto il corso o singoli moduli. L’apprendimento è rapido e sicuro: si studia la grammatica e il lessico, imparando migliaia di vocaboli, per giungere alla lettura fluente della lingua letteraria latina.

The IICS, in collaboration with the University of Jordan, is proud to present the first summer course in Living Latin to ever be held in the Arabic-Speaking World: a groundbreaking cultural opportunity uniting the souls of different cultures.

Lingua Ecclesiae è il primo corso estivo intensivo di latino specificamente pensato per un pubblico di ecclesiastici.
Gli studenti vengono ospitati presso la Casa per ferie Mater Mundi, gestita dalle Suore Agostiniane del Divino Amore. Le attività didattiche sono accompagnate dalla celebrazione quotidiana della Liturgia.
Per favorire un più rapido e saldo apprendimento, tutti i corsi si svolgono direttamente in latino, al pari di tutte le altre attività quotidiane: il latino diviene l’unica lingua di comunicazione all’interno della residenza per l’intero mese di permanenza.
