EDUCATIONAL OFFER

The objective of the course is to get learners to come into direct contact with Ancient Greek literature texts. The lessons deal with the analysis of the critical edition of a text, taking into account the comments of the historical-literary critic, but they especially aim to make the learners become aware of the thoughts of classical authors.
After having reached an excellent knowledge of the Greek language, the learners, who will have achieved high linguistic competence, will dedicate themselves to what the IISC considers the ultimate goal of the study of Classic Literature: a personal dialogue with the spirit of the classical authors.

SYLLABUS

During the course, the learners will deal with two works of the classical and hellenistic greek literature. The proposed works are different every year and are chosen by the lecturers on the basis of previous educational backgrounds and in response to the aptitude shown by the students.
