Ordinary Professors

Prof. Federico Pirrone

After completing his Maturità Classica, Federico Pirrone graduated with honors from the University of Studies of Rome “La Sapienza”, with a degree in Philology, Literature and History of the Ancient World.
He obtained, with the  highest grade, the PhD from the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain) discussing his dissertation “Theoretical and historical bases of the applacation of the inductive-contextual method to the teaching of Latin language“.
He currently teaches Latin Language and Literature and Greek Language at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.
He has principally focused his studies on the history of the pedagogy of Latin and on medieval Latin historiography in the Anglo-Saxon world.

Prof. Alessandro Agus

After completing his Maturità Classica, Alessandro Agus graduated with honors from the University of Studies of Rome “La Sapienza” with a degree in Philosophy and the History of Philosophy.
He currently teaches History and Philosophy at the high-school level.
He has principally focused his studies on medieval philosophy and political philosophy.

Mr. Leonardo Chiocchetti

After completing his Maturità Classica, Leonardo Chiocchetti obtained a three-year degree, with honors, in Philosophy from the University “Roma Tre”. He also excelled in the two-year cycle of studies at the Italian Institute for Classical Studies.
He currently studies Philosophical Sciences at the University “Roma Tre”.

Ms. Daphne Grieco

After completing her Maturità Scientifica, Daphne Grieco obtained a three-year degree, with honors, in Medieval History and Paleography from the University of Studies of Rome “La Sapienza”. She also excelled in the two-year cycle of studies at the Italian Institute for Classical Studies.
She currently studies Medieval History at the University of Studies of Rome “La Sapienza”.

Prof. Flavia Farina

After completing her Maturità Classica, Flavia Farina graduated with honors from the University “Roma Tre”, with a degree in Philosophy.
She collaborates with the Polis Institute of Languages and Humanities as a Greek Language instructor.
She has principally focused her studies on ancient philosophy and Hellenistic Greek.

Mr. Giovanni Tobia de Benedetti

After completing his Maturità Classica, Giovanni Tobia de Benedetti perfected his studies of Latin and Greek at the Accademia Vivarium Novum in Rome.
He currently studies Classical Literature at the University of Studies of Rome “La Sapienza”.
